Min Wang received his Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University in 2012. Research Interests: Design Science Theory, Sustainable Social Innovation, Social Innovation Design, and Organizational Design. Member of the Design Research Society (DRS). Actively committed to discussing topics such as the "Wicked problem" in design and the development of living environments. In addition, Min Wang actively advocates for the promoting effect of design education and society on social progress and the healthy development of individuals, with more than 30 years of teaching and research experience in universities.

Allan Fowler joined the University of Auckland in September 2019. Before coming back to New Zealand, he was a tenured Associate Professor in Game Design and Software Engineering in the USA. While in the USA, he taught at Columbia University, the University of California (Santa Cruz), and California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly).

Cristian Ungureanu
Ph.D | Professor, National University of Arts, Romania
Member of the International Center for Transdisciplinary Research and Studies (CIRET) in Paris and a well-known artist, Cristian Ungureanu has published several books and articles on art theory. He is the author of countless national and international conferences, more than 30 personal and collective exhibitions in Italy, France, the Russian Federation, Turkey and Romania; he is a member of the Union of Plastic Artists from Romania and collaborates with Dana art gallery from Iași. According to philosopher and physicist Basarab NICOLESCU, “Cristian UNGUREANU seems to be the successor of Matila GHYKA (1881-1965), specialist in the golden number and the synthesis of mathematics and poetry. He also masters the tools of art in the electronic age.” (from the introduction to the Romanian edition of the book The Golden Number by Matila Ghyka, Nemira Publishing House, Bucharest, 2016).
Dominika Sobolewska
Ph.D | Associate Professor, Wroclaw Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Poland
Artist, curator, exhibition designer, academic teacher. PhD in Fine Arts. Head of the Interactive Space Design laboratory of the Interior Architecture & Design Faculty of the Wroclaw Academy of Fine Arts and Design (PL). In the period 2013-15 researcher within the Thematic Spaces Department of EXPO 2015, in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano (IT). Author of numerous interactive installations, experimental projects dedicated to public space. Co-author of Interactive Playground, project realized in 2008 together with Patrycja Mastej and Paweł Janicki, produced by WRO Art Center which so far has been experienced by over three hundred thousand viewers in major art galleries and museums – from Moscow to Edinburgh. Her activity revolves around the idea of dialogue between the work of art and the audience. Realized objects often occur as small architectural forms prompting onlookers to a deeper interaction.
Eli Bartra
Ph.D | Professor, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, México
Eli Bartra was born in Mexico and received her Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She has been named a Distinguished Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Xochimilco, Mexico City. A Cofounder and several times, Director of a Research Program on Women, and a Graduate Program on Feminist Studies at UAM-X. National Researcher Emeritus, and author of the following books: Nudes and Naked Women in the Arts: Mexico and Beyond (Lenham: Lexington, 2022); Desnudo y arte (Bogotá: Desde Abajo, 2018, Mexico, UAM, 2021); Mujeres en el arte popular (Mexico City: UAM/Conaculta-Fonca, 2005), published in English as Women in Mexican Folk Art (Cardiff: UWP, 2011); Feminism and Folk Art: Case Studies in Mexico, Japan, New Zealand, and Brazil (Lanham: Lexington Books/Rowman & Littlefield, 2019). She has written more than one hundred and fifty articles and book chapters, and has been a visiting professor at several universities in Europe, the United States, Japan, Brazil, and New Zealand.
Fanke Peng

Research Interests: Design-led innovation in health, aged care, mobility, and the circular economy
Dr. Fanke Peng is a Professorial Lead and Deputy Director of the Australian Research Centre for Interactive and Virtual Environments at Adelaide University. An award-winning educator, designer, and researcher, Fanke's passion for design-led innovation drives her transformative work in health, aged care, mobility, and the circular economy. In recognition of her contributions to higher education, she was awarded the title of Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2020. In her over 15 years of research in Creative Arts, Design and Social Innovation, she has secured national and international grants from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Australian Research Council (ARC), Creative Australia, UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Australian Health Research Alliance (AHRA), and industry partners. She has built a strong record of Non-Traditional Research Outputs (NTROs), generating broader impact beyond traditional citation metrics by making her research understandable and accessible to the broader public via news, media, exhibitions, and government reports.
Khairul Azhar Bin Mat Sulaiman
Ph.D | Senior Lecturer, National University of Malaysia, Malaysia
Research Interests: Architecture and Landscape Architecture
Senior Lecturer in the Department of Architecture and the Built Environment who has a deep interest in research related to Building Thermal Performance, Thermal Comfort, and Building Energy Efficiency. Passive Design Applications, especially Vertical Greening Systems (Green Facade, Green Wall) and Sun Shading Devices, are the main focus of the research study. With an educational background that covers two main fields in the built environment, Architecture and Landscape Architecture, the study is also conducted based on a combination of these fields.
Kuo-Hsun Wen

Lily Diaz-Kommonen
Ph.D | Professor, Aalto University, Finland
Research Interests: Visualization and heritage, as well as the design of interfaces for virtual reality
Since 1998, Lily Díaz-Kommonen has led the Systems of Representation research group that works in areas such as visualization and heritage, as well as the design of interfaces for virtual reality. Since 2004, she has supervised and tutored 17 doctoral dissertations in the arts on topics such as scriptwriting and the representation of history in cinema, the museum as an agonistic space for political expression, and developing digital archives for textile art. She is also an active researcher and artist-designer. The research and design projects she has realized include Digital Facsimile of the Map of Mexico 1550 (1st prize in the International Competition on Digital Storytelling organized by Art Center Nabi in Seoul, South Korea) and the interactive virtual reality installation and film documentary of the Finnish Pavilion at the 1900 World Fair in Paris; and The Vrouw Maria Interactive 3D Virtual Simulation (Special Mention of the Jury in the 2015 EU Prize for Cultural Heritage Europa Nostra Awards).
Matthew Robb

Research Interests: Social and political dimensions of design, and moral challenges posed by modern capitalism
Matthew Robb is an assistant professor of design and sociology at the School of Design Strategies at Parsons School of Design. His teaching and research focus on social and political dimensions of design and moral challenges posed by modern capitalism. Matthew has held several leadership positions within the School of Design Strategies, including service as Associate Director of the MS Strategic Design and Management (2020-2024), as the School's Associate Dean (2013-2016), and Director, BBA in Strategic Design and Management (2009-2013). He was Executive Editor of the Journal of Design Strategies (2010-2021). Matthew holds a PhD in Philosophy from The New School for Social Research (2005).

He has more than 15 years of professional and academic experience in areas including Industrial Design, User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Creative Direction, Digital Strategy, and Design Process.
Miaosen Gong
Ph.D | Associate Professor, Jiangnan University, P.R. China
Research Interests: Sustainable Design, Social Innovation, Strategic Design, and Service Design
Associate professor of the industrial design department, School of Design at Jiangnan University, and the director of DESIS lab. He received his Ph.D in design at the Politecnico di Milano, jointly with MIT. Before that, he studied at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Wuxi University of Light Industry, and the Politecnico di Milano for his BEng, MA, and MDS in design fields. Currently, he is a member of the international coordination committee of the DESIS network and co-coordinator of DESIS-China. He is also one of the founders of the China Design Research PhD Colloquium and China Service Design Education Forum. He was a visiting scholar of the ID department of TU/e (12/13) and an expert in the China Academy of Engineering major project "Innovation Design Development Strategy" (13/16). His research interests focus on strategic design for sustainability, service design for social innovation, and innovation design. He has more than 40 peer-reviewed academic publications in international conferences and journals, and is a reviewer of several international design conferences and journals.

Professor Wardah serves as the Chair of the Department of Architecture and Built Environment at the National University of Malaysia. Her expertise includes natural ventilation, sustainable and green building design, and thermal comfort. She has been involved in many research projects and has published many articles related to those areas. Her enthusiasm for sustainability has encouraged her to explore many new research areas related to the sustainable built environment. She is also interested in software related to building energy and sustainability.
Xiaolei Guo

Research Interests: Human-computer Interaction (HCI), Virtual Reality (VR), and User Study
Xiaolei Guo obtained her Ph.D. from Purdue University in 2024. She has conducted interdisciplinary research in designing, developing, and evaluating immersive learning experiences that enhance learner engagement and interaction with content, leading to meaningful outcomes. Her work has been published in the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, Proceedings of the ACM on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, the International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction, and Visual Intelligence Journal.
