Funding Model
The journal’s operations are funded primarily through project grants and academic service activities led by MSPL. This funding model creates a stable financial base independent of author fees or subscriptions, ensuring that the journal can maintain its commitment to free and open scholarly communication.
Commitment to Accessibility
By eliminating all author-side charges, JACAC aims to make scholarly publishing accessible to researchers from all backgrounds, institutional contexts, and regions. This approach particularly supports early-career researchers and scholars from institutions with limited funding resources.
This policy aligns with the journal’s commitment to open access and its mission to promote the global exchange of knowledge about ancient Chinese arts and crafts.
Scholarly Editorial Model
JACAC has adopted a scholarly editorial model centered around a university-based research team, integrating current master’s and doctoral students into the editorial team. This approach provides opportunities for professional development to emerging scholars while ensuring the journal’s long-term viability and continued excellence in scholarly publishing.
