License Terms
Under this license, anyone may:
-
Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes.
Under the following conditions:
-
Attribution (BY): You must give appropriate credit to the author(s), provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the author(s) or the journal endorses you or your use.
-
NonCommercial (NC): You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
-
NoDerivatives (ND): If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.
Policy Flexibility for Funder Mandates
Already-published articles will retain their original CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license in perpetuity. However, if prospective authors are bound by strict mandates from their research funding agencies for future submissions, they may submit a request to the Editorial Office to publish under the CC BY license instead.
Standards for PDF Licensing Metadata and Citations
-
Default Articles: For articles published under the standard policy, the header or footer of the individual article PDF must accurately state: “© The Author(s). Licensed under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0”.
-
Exceptional Articles: For the limited exceptions approved by the Editorial Office for publication under CC BY, the corresponding text in the PDF must be precisely adjusted to read: * “© The Author(s). Licensed under CC BY 4.0”.
-
Principle of Consistency: All article-level metadata on the journal website and text indicators within the PDF must correspond perfectly with the actual license granted to that specific work.
Copyright
Copyright for each article published in JACAC is retained by its author(s). By submitting a manuscript, authors grant Michelangelo Scholar Publishing Limited (MSPL) the right to publish the work under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license (or CC BY if specifically approved).
