Funding Model
Operations are funded through project grants and academic service activities led by MSPL, creating a stable base independent of author fees or subscriptions. The goal is to provide free publication for scholars from all backgrounds, especially young scholars from less-resourced countries and regions.
Commitment to Accessibility
By eliminating all fees, DH makes scholarly publishing accessible to researchers from all backgrounds and regions. This approach supports early-career researchers and scholars from institutions with limited funding.
Scholarly Editorial Model
DH has adopted a scholarly editorial model centered around a university-based research team, integrating current master’s and doctoral students into the editorial team. This provides professional development opportunities for emerging scholars while ensuring the journal’s long-term viability.
