Open Access Policy
Open Access: Design History (DH) operates under a Diamond Open Access model, ensuring that all articles are freely and immediately available online without subscription, registration, or access fees. No article processing charges (APCs) are required from authors, and no fees are charged to readers.
Principles
DH is committed to the principle that free, immediate access to peer-reviewed research maximizes dissemination and impact. Open access supports global knowledge exchange, promotes equitable participation, and enables all stakeholders to benefit from published research.
Author Rights
Copyright is retained by author(s). Authors grant MSPL a non-exclusive license to publish under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. Authors may:
- Share and distribute for non-commercial purposes.
- Post on personal/institutional websites and repositories.
- Use in future research, teaching, and presentations.
Reader Rights
Under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0, readers may read, download, copy, and distribute articles for non-commercial purposes with proper credit and no modifications.
No Fees
DH does not charge any submission fees, article processing charges (APCs), publication fees, page charges, or color charges. The journal is supported by project grants and academic service activities provided by Michelangelo Scholar Publishing Limited (MSPL).
This policy is consistent with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), the Berlin Declaration on Open Access, and the Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing.
