Archiving Policy
Design History (DH) is committed to long-term preservation and accessibility of all published scholarly content.
Digital Preservation Strategy
- Publisher Archiving: MSPL maintains secure, redundant digital archives of all content.
- Third-Party Archiving: The journal pursues partnerships with CLOCKSS, LOCKSS, Portico, and national libraries.
- Institutional Repositories: Authors may deposit published articles in institutional or subject repositories per the journal’s licensing terms.
Metadata Preservation
All metadata is registered with Crossref and maintained per international standards for discoverability and citation integrity.
Access Continuity
If DH ceases publication, MSPL will ensure continued access through third-party services and provide appropriate notice.
Author Self-Archiving
Under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0, authors may self-archive published articles on personal websites, institutional repositories, and preprint servers with proper attribution.
